My Story...

It was an overcast afternoon in early November 1999 while flipping through daytime TV for something engaging to watch; I happened upon a program offering to teach me how to make hand made candles. Wanting a hobby and a great way to offer handmade holiday gifts for friends and family, I eagerly waited for the program to resume from its commercial break.

Initially the candles were very basic and “rustic”, however over the course of the next few years I would hone my technique and find what fragrances were most appealing to my loyal candle testing friends and collogues. I discovered very early on that I had a knack for creating very unusual candles and a great eye for presentation. It didn’t take long at all before my candle testing friends to spread the word and before you knew it I had holiday orders pouring in.

In mid 2007 during a time of much downsizing I found myself walking away from a 9-5 administrative job and a box full of belongings I collected during my time at the company. I have lways dreamed of crafting candles and selling them in craft fairs and local retail shops, and it seemed as good as a time as any to give it a go.

Over the previous seven years I learned a lot of lessons in candle making and selling, and I knew if I wanted it to be successful, I needed to streamline my product line and process. There were a number of important basics I wanted to focus on when planning my new venture.

1, simplicity, I wanted to create a line of candles that I could replicate consistently, efficiently. And with integrity.
2, I wanted the candles to be safe, contained and clean burning.
3, “The gift", for me to create a candle that would be packaged attractively and ready to give as a gift.
4, And lastly value, it was important for me to offer an affordable luxury to candle lovers.

By taking all these important basics into mind, I neatly packaged them into a simple concept; "Understated elegance and affordable luxury".

We offer shipping within the 48 continental US states only via USPS priority shipping, delivery times range between 2-7 Business day's. For shipping to outlying islands, or international shipping, please send an email to light@whitehallcandleco.com with your shipping address and the total number of candles you would be interested and we will respond within 48-hours with a shipping quote.

Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:

Unfortunately once the virtual cogs start turning, we cannot always cancel your order, however if you intended to order a different product of equal value, simply send us an email immediately notifying us of which item you want and which you do not, and we will make every effort to accommodate if the order has not yet shipped
